welcome

Synergy Jazz Foundation is a non-profit, grass roots group with the mission of developing educational and performance projects that combine the resources and talents of musicians, educators, schools, charitable organizations, and the community. Using Jazz as a vehicle, Synergy projects teach the value of creative thought, an awareness of American culture, and the importance of dedication, commitment, and personal responsibility in achieving success. Synergy encourages students to develop a lifelong relationship with the arts, assuring the longevity of the Synergy mission and their own continued development as human beings.

Synergy is currently developing a wide range of projects including a young people’s concert series, Peanut Butter, Jelly & Jazz, a Jazz in the Schools elementary curriculum, and metro wide Youth Jazz Orchestras for the more serious students.

The current emphasis of Synergy lies with The Aebersold Project. A series of locally hosted workshops and concerts featuring the best of the Jamey Aebersold Summer Jazz Workshop faculty. The project extends into the summer featuring a scholarship program benefitting students attending the summer workshop.
